Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Cerin is a scarred human in good physical condition but with a bit of a wheeze from scarred lungs.
Body Features
Beneath his robes, Cerin's body is a patchwork of scars and burns. His left hand is replaced by a brass gauntlet animated by magic, his leg halfway below his left shin is replaced by a clever but mundane prosthetic as well.
Facial Features
His left eye is burned shut, the flesh having melted and healed to leave a scarred plane with no real socket. Over this he wears another prosthetic; a leather box that straps to his head framing an oversized marble with a black dot on it that functions as an eye.
Special abilities
Cerin's prosthetic eye has many detection abilities.
Apparel & Accessories
Cerin has modified the guard uniform he was issued to resemble a robe. Ellayne Warbough decided not to reprimand him. Cerin is never seen out of this uniform.

Personal history
Cerin was born in Wupan under the name "Dawlenac". His parents were poor dockworkers, and he grew up wanting for just about everything. He joined a street gang when he was seven and terrorized the docks with his friends for more than ten years afterwards, until his gang lost to another, tougher gang. He discovered a talent for magic when he was 18, snuffing and then lighting a candle with a gesture in a fit of boredom. He then spent every penny he had to travel to The Brass Tower.
In 977, he was assigned to an extended raid into bandit-infested wilderness bordering Eldermeare and the Northrealms. He alone returned, with large glossy leaves serving as bandages holding the skin on the left side of his face on his skull. He received prosthetic replacements for his left eye, hand, and leg. He was given an open ended leave of absence, which he promptly used to flee. He eventually wound up in Alcedene nine years later, where he changed his name and remains in hiding from whatever it was that he found in the wilds.

Cerin has had a number of trysts in town, but they all follow a similar pattern; a flare of bright intensity and a consuming flame of rage. He has twice had his entire wardrobe lit on fire.
