Echoes of War

"The dreams of the Five begat horrors untold, the race of Titans. Among these were the Fathers of the Giants, but also monsters with names that echo horror even today; the Tarrasque, the Karakal, the Kraken, Anaxim, the Atropal, the Chichimec, the Oneirax, the Hecatoncheire, the Infernal, the Phaethon, the Nucklavee, the Phane, and the Xixecal. These were slain by the heroes of old, the saints and crusaders whose lives have been written into the stars.   "The dreams bore races of monsters as well; the beholders and the gorgons, the ethergaunts and the aboleths. Many of these still exist today, and are tests for heroes through time.   "Finally, the Ferneth, the echoes of dreams. From their dying and restrained might, the primordials still hold the powers of creation. Their flesh has become regions, and these regions are haunted by monstrosities of spite and rage and hunger from a fraction of their souls."   ~Canticles of the Demiurge, The First Song, Verse 51.

Summary
