Feckleweed Poisoning
"Princeslayer is why you don't make the girls angry."
~Margrave Arronax Skinner, Elector of Cambreath
Transmission & Vectors
Feckleweed Poisoning is almost always intentional, the dose slipped into someone's food. Given the peculiar flavor of the plant itself, it's usually blended into strong spices or delivered at the end of a round of strong drinks.
Symptoms
Feckleweed poisoning is almost unnoticeable, save for its primary effect; victims will never conceive healthy children. In the rare case that a child is born, it will suffer Mutations as if overloaded with magic.
Treatment
Folk Magic has a proposed cure for the condition, though it is unknown in general whether the cure works or not. In the case of intentional poisoning, the poisoner's heart must be consumed raw by the victim without vomiting. There are no known natural cures, and in the extremely rare case of accidental poisoning even Folk Magic is silent.
Prognosis
Feckleweed poisoning results in permanent and chronic sterility or infertility. The condition is so subtle that even journeyman Chirurgeons have difficulty diagnosing it. Cases are usually uncovered using divinatory magics.
