Personal history
Born to a loving home, Penya was orphaned before her memory by a goblin raid. Her parents were caught outside the walls before anyone even knew that the Greenskins were there. She was raised uneventfully in Chapel Trigon.
Her Becoming was very satisfying to her: she was sent to investigate reports of another Greenskin scouting party. Rather than report back, she and her companions attacked the small incursion, wiping them out entirely. They spent a few days carefully looting, boiling the head in saltwater lye for ease of transport, and returned victorious. In a bit of a scandal, she was adopted by the Shieldreaper family rather than her birth family, as the Springhorn family worried about having a warrior attending the Bathhouse.
She had already caught the eye of the old priestess of Domielle and her Becoming had confirmed it. She entered into intense training and in a few short years was ready to take over. Since then she has rarely taken up her sword in earnest, though she does make it a point to participate in the melees whenever she can as she works on her signature technique.
