Purpose / Function
Originally a natural tear to the Feywild roughly the size of a fist, the Abominable used it to contact the La'shei outpost that had built up around it. They opened the portal using ancient and now forgotten magic and stabilized it.
Alterations
The portal was originally open to the air. A massive wooden structure was grown up around it using La'shei magic. Doors were constructed to prevent unrestricted access either to or from the portal, for many things in the Feywild are mischievous and savage. The Hundred-Rooted Tree was given sacrifices of blood and treasure to guard the door, and only those of royal elven blood can open it.
Architecture
Like all La'shei constructions, the building and doors housing the portal were grown from living plants.
