Personal history
In life, the Archduchess was a priestess of Maravasi and Mosivy, a demigoddess born of one of their daughters’ love affair with a knight. The Archduchess was slain three times by agents of Orcus. The first time with poison, she was saved by her fellow priests animating the blood in her veins, turning her into a vampire. The second time with a desiccating spell, and her fellow priests saved her by preserving her in honey and animating her as a Greater mummy. The third time was with an astral assassin that severed her silver chord, separating her soul from her body. The priesthood claimed her soul from the Astral Sea and resurrected it as a dread wraith. She is all three of these undead, as well as a saint of the Mysteries of Death.
She was eventually struck down by knights of the Demiurge and interred sometime before the fall of the Grimhii Empire Her tomb was uncovered in the Year 155 and her cult rapidly swept Prunyth. They accomplished her resurrection in the Year 202, and she has been ruling Prunyth uncontested ever since.
Her body sits on her throne, fueled by magic and a blood cult that has sprung up around her. Her soul comes and goes, seeing to every corner of her kingdom. She is known as a dispassionate and efficient ruler, except where the cult of Orcus is concerned. Any whisper of reverence for the demon lord of undeath will send the Archduchess’s paladins riding into the night, cutting out the cult like a petrified organ.
