Undying Glory

"Morning Glory, eternal in strife, we stand before you in this moment of choice. Grant us your gaze, that our actions may find favor in your eyes. Whether in victory or defeat, let our hearts beat with the rhythm of your eternal warfare. May this duel be a testament to your glory, a symphony of devotion sung in the clash of steel. Guide our hands, O Mistress of Strife, and let your judgment be our guide. In your name, we fight. In your name, we honor. In your name, we strive. Morning Glory, be witness to our duel, and may your favor fall where it will."     ~Prayer of a Duellist

Cosmological Views

While the Glorious believe in the Kumakyd, they also believe that one shouldn't go quietly. They believe that it is in the nature of mortals to fight mortality as bitterly as any other enemy, and defeating mortality is in itself an act of glory.

Tenets of Faith

Honor is eternal and achieved through noble deeds. Devotion to Morning Glory ensures that one's deeds are remembered beyond mortal life.

Ethics

Ethical behavior is centered around honor, courage, and the pursuit of noble deeds and competetive honors that benefit others and bring glory to oneself. Honorable duelling is paramount, sometimes even in the midst of a larger battle.

Worship

Worship involves ceremonies, rituals, and acts of valor that honor Morning Glory and inspire followers to live honorable lives. They use tournaments and melees as services, sometimes organizing them in the first place. They often seek out noted warriors for duels in the name of their mistress.

Priesthood

Glorious Charismatics are often warriors, and their congregations serve as their force multipliers. If a Charismatic falls in battle, they are usually replaced rapidly by a chosen successor, who takes up the mantle of Charismatic, along with the fallen leader's name, title, and form of undeath.

Granted Divine Powers

Undead created in the name of Morning Glory are often extremely martially adept, with a boost to physical attributes. Additionally, Charismatics have Chosen Successors, who receive a portion of their soul if they fall in battle. This rolling inheritance of skill and experience makes these Charismatic Knights utterly implacable fighters.

Political Influence & Intrigue

Individual Glorious Charismatic Knights have influenced some of the thinking in martial corners of society, and are largely responsible for the ritualized and respected nature of duelling in Maecodian society.
