Personal history
Veanok was born and trained as a Hopewell Aspirant. He distinguished himself at an early age infiltrating goblin camps at night to steal battle plans and intelligence. His skills impressed his superiors, who passed his name along to the Margrave of Cambreath. A deal was struck, and he infiltrated the 17th Legion. The layered anonymity and paranoia ironically assisted him in rising through the ranks. He eventually became Zotan, and made contact with Margrave Arronax Skinner. The 17th's unique placement and skillset in Hobgoblin society made him perfect to act as Arronax's perfect weapon, although he has begun to become disillusioned with his role and itches to conduct more overt measures to bring Humans back into control of the Badlands
