There are Eight Powers which control the universe and give magic to the world.

• Kases: Transmutation - Trickery, Forge, Nature
• Kotos: Evocation - Tempest, War
• Oren: Conjuration - Forge, Nature
• Thados: Divination - Knowledge, Light
• Titis: Illusion - Trickery, Knowledge
• Toren: Necromancy - Death, Grave, Life

Mythology & Lore

Somewhere, possibly beyond the reaches of the planes, the Eight Powers take physical form represented by a gaseous aura. Out beyond the reach of mortals, the essences of the foundational blocks of the world lay still. Magic is merely mortals connecting to these essences, either drawing power from them, or reaching out with humility and being granted the power of gods.
