Session 14

General Summary

Kanithar's Perspective I am quickly following Vosh's Owl as it has given the signal that he is in trouble. The further we proceed, the more frustrated I am about how far he (and presumably Old Man Withers) have explored. Vosh was supposed to let us know if he was going to be leaving the library; it is unlike Vosh to not do what he says. Eventually we get down to a hallway where a frog creature attacks us. I try to take some hits as I know Ed is weak and at one point I saw visions of my hometown being caught on fire and had to turn away. We find Old Man Withers as the frog creature has left. Vosh is nowhere to be found and Old Man Withers relays to us that he has most likely been captured. Angrily, I ask Old Man Withers what happened and his justification just makes me more frustrated. I try to control my emotions as I am starting to wonder if he is just too naive. Clearly, this partnership isn't working out and I don't even remember why he is with us. We gather Vosh's belongings that were left and proceed back to regroup ourselves by the library. After chastising and discussing more with Old Man Withers, we mutually decide that it is best for him to go on his own way. As frustrated as I was with him, I don't think it would be smart to make any enemies and to stay on good terms with as many people as we can as we are representing King Audwin. After updating the Dwarven King, I send a bird to request reinforcements. After exploring more of the Dwarven Kingdom and helping the Dwarves for several days, a detachment of volunteers and mercenaries are admitted into the Dwarven halls. We briefly meet their leader, Felix, we reconvene at a place we rent out and get to know the members of the group. Of the ones we have met, Felix seems to be a battle-hardened leader who I could potentially learn some from as I am new to leadership. Katerina seems somewhat naive, and this university assignment is very intriguing. I liked Thomas and Albus. I am very interested in conversing more with them. Els is a bit of a mystery to me, and I am not sure what her true motivations are. The others ended up being a blur (from Kanithar's perspective) during the commotion.
