Overview
Sharhardrar is the God of Science of
Hulwar. He is one of the male gods and one of the younger deities of the six male gods in Hulwar.
Workings
Sharhardrar was dreamed into existence only a few months after
Luseus came into the world. Sharhardrar is basically the opposite of the God of Restoration and despises the other god for his more magical approach to solutions, while Sharhardrar relies on science. On metrics, on formulas, on mathematics. Evidence, clear and simple.
This rivalry bleeds over to their followers and despite being an enemy of Luseus, the "war" between the people of Hulwar is a more philosophical one. There was bloodshed and still is, mostly inspired by
Idur, but normally the followers of both gods don't rely on killing and violence. They tend to sabotage each other, but thats about it. Sharhardrar allows it unless it results in more than sabotage.
During his early days he said to his priests that he doesn't want a temple or a place of worship. That he has no need for actual priests like Idur, Luseus or the others. That they should worship him with science, with experiments, with formulas and with their thoughts. Which resulted in small rituals of burning chemicals during the day.
Sharhardrar speaks to his followers once in a while. Sometimes in dreams, sometimes during the days, sometimes through small miracles or "accidents". In his labs he tries to encrypt the secrets of the universe and how things work. Over the course of the decades he started to get mad while peering into the inner workings of everything. He constantly mumbles something about, be it conclusions, formulas or nonsense.
Sharhardrar also tries to lift the secrets of the Eternal Runes, especially their origin and their workings and how, by the Eternals, the mortals could craft new ones back in the day.
Funny to see what happened to him, because he was to focused on trying to understand how everything works. Maybe sometimes we should just accept things for what they are, so we will not share his fate :D
It is a common trope in Souls games, that having the knowledge how things work, it drives you mad. I thought why shouldn't that happen to a god too? So yes, when not even gods are safe, we mortals should not be meddling with the inner workings of things.
