House Gat

House Gat is known for its power and its cruelty. Both of those traits actually stem from bygone generations. In the past, the Surfi was often tyrannical imposing cruel punishments on her subordinate family members when displeased. The Surfis of House Gat bear a reputation for perverting the principle of dominance within Ithygši̋c culture and turning it to outright cruelty and domination.

In any case, this trend reached its zenith under the leadership of Surfi Mitfad. Though her eldest daughter, Dinnaa, succeeded her as Surfi, her other two daughters followed the lead of their Uncle Thic a generation earlier. They fled D̬aa and settled in Pi̋b, joining the Nat Poen. As Surfi, Dinnaa was a reformer who rejected the tyrannical ways of her mothers, but it was too late. She entreated her sisters to return to D̬aa, but they refused.

The Long Quake may have spelled the doom of House Gat. Surfi Dinnaa's granddaughter Igguš rules the House at present, but she has only born one daughter, D̬aggu, who died in the Long Quake. Surfi Igguš remains of childbearing age, but within the century that window will close, and it is uncertain whether she can conceive and bear an heir in that time.
