Selepcius of Puava
Herald Selepcius Paus Eleccus, of Puava (a.k.a. Prophet of the Mystic Mistress)
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Selepcius is a decent bard who has made his living in Calpi, often competing for work in his youth with Broccini Vitus Amargano, though that has been less of a problem in more recent years. He specialized in stories and songs of ancient lore, and is even considered by some historians to be semi-authoritative on ancient Ditincian pre-history.
In 1428 LE, Selepcius abruptly stopped performing, altogether. After nearly two years, he resurfaced in 1430 LE, but his songs and tales were all related to the long-forgotten goddess Puava. What's more, he has begun reciting passages from Arcane Strictures of the Mystical Mistress, of which he possesses the only copy. He claims it was brought to him by the First Witch of Puava at the command of the Mystical Mistress, herself.
His recent activity has earned him the enmity and disdain of both the few practicing mages in Calpi, as well as the priesthood of the Arcane Mother.
Sexuality
Like many in his profession, Selepcius has had a reputation for extensive sexual relations and has done so outside the normal bounds of social propriety. In the last two years, however, his is not known to have had even a single liaison.
