Wuexa Nishmo
WARNING Wuexa's backstory (if visible to you) includes mild references to imprisonment and rape.
Changer Wuexa Nishmo, Nædænururum
Wuexa is a half-elven mage who was cursed by the green hag Gea Eiocgiban. She asked Gea to make her "as beautiful as nature," a wish Gea fulfilled by transforming Wuexa's skin to lichen and her hair to fungus. In payment the hag compelled Wuexa, forcing her to transform natural creatures into horrible monstrosities, for the hag's delight.
She has attracted a gray render that has bonded with her. She calls it Jua Jæcyth ("Gray Friend").

Personal history
Wuexa was born to a skogsalver woman named Arpomyr Ranesægh ("Plains Dancer") who was captured and assaulted by an evil Ivrai man named Quidonos Avus Deitunus. In time, Arpomyr was able to escape her abuser with their child. Wuexa and Arpomyr lived a desperate existence for many years, scratching an existence from the plains and hiding from others whenever possible. When Wuexa was twenty-two, Arpomyr was petrified by a gorgon and eaten. Wuexa fled from this horror, wishing she had had the ability to save her mother. She wandered for ten years, eventually resolving to come to the city of Artetun. There, she encountered her father, whom she accused publicly of kidnapping, rape, torture, and imprisonment. Her testimony, aided by magical verification, led to Quidonos' conviction and execution.
The Ivr̂ai council was eager to make restitution to Wuexa, so they asked how they could do so. She requested that she be apprenticed to a wizard and taught the ways of transmutation, so that she might one day be able to help people like her mother. Her request was granted and she was aprenticed to an old human woman named Ucca Ar̂wana Der̂icca. Ucca diligently taught Wuexa for the next thirteen years, until her death.
During this time, Wuexa tried to integrate into Ivr̂ai society. And, as young people will, she sought romantic companionship. Unfortunately, partially because of her mixed heritage, but much more because of her reclusive upbringing, she never fit in. No suitors came to call on her. After Ucca's death, believing her woes to be because she was ugly (she was not), she sought out help with her physical appearance. She tried illusions and other magic availble to her, all to no avail. She tried transmutations, of course, but felt herself a fraud. Finally, in desperation, she sought out one of the three Hags of the Bog, Gea. She asked to be made as beautiful as nature.
Gea, ever deceitful and malicious, agreed. She permanently transformed Wuexa, turning her skin to a beautiful teal shaded lichen and her hair to frilly brown and orange fungus. Her price was that Wuexa would have to transform whatever Gea wanted. Wuexa had misunderstood Gea's price, however. In her haste, she believed Gea meant only one time. Gea, however, had never expressed that limit, and Wuexa was trapped.
When Wuexa saw herself in the mirror, she fled from Gea's hut in horror. Finding herself bound to a short radius from Gea's lair, she finally settled some seventeen miles to the north and built a tower there. Gea came to her off and on over the years, demanding payment from Wuexa. The hag delighted in tormenting the half-sylvan by forcing her to transmute living creatures and plants into monstrosities.
In 1430 LE, the Fated Faction, sent by the draconic demigod Toos, came to Wuexa's tower to make her stop creating monstrosities. They learned of her curse and discerned they could end her transmutations by simply killing Gea. They ventured to the bog and killed not only Gea, but her sisters, as well. Though Wuexa's transformation is irreversible, with Gea's death, her compelled payment is complete.
She has dedicated herself to undoing as much of the malevolent transmutation that she created as possible.
Sexuality
Wuexa's transformation is far deeper than the apparent surface level. She has become sterile, but she also is attracted to males and females of all sentient species, especially those of sylvan extraction (fey and elves).
Education
Trained in transmutation in Artetun by Ucca Ar̂wana Der̂icca.
Intellectual Characteristics
Wuexa is very reserved, but she is loving and good, at heart. Her payments to Gea have hurt her deeply.
Morality & Philosophy
Wuexa believes the law should exist and it should protect people, but that it utterly fails to do so. As a result, she tends to prefer action for the greater good, regardless of the strictures of law. She respects the gods, but venerates none of them.
Taboos
Intentionally causing harm.
