Lord of Tyrants

Bane (pronounced: /ˈbɑːɪn/ BAIN) was the evil and malicious greater deity of fear, hatred and tyranny and ruler of Banehold. Preferring to plot and scheme, Bane rarely appeared to act in a direct manner; instead acting through his worshipers and other various agents. His ultimate goal was to eventually control all of Korrisia. When summoned he had a dark and rather shadowy appearance with a resemblance of dark armor and his tell-tale jeweled dark gauntlet. He emanated an aura of vast power and cruel intelligence.
Bane was the eldest and most powerful of his other brothers. The middle-brother being Myrkul, and the youngest being Bhaal. The three were a power to fear, and if it weren't for their infighting, they may have achieved their goals of controlling Korrisia completely, and destroying their nemeses, the Prime Deities. Bane was killed in single combat when facing Pelor. It took Pelor's full might to bear against Bane, and through their battling, the Northern and Southern Continents, once conjoined, were blasted apart.
It is said Banehold still exists, but has been moved as far away in the cosmology as possible by the Prime Deities, with hopes that none would venture there and find some lost remnant of Bane's existence. They vowed to do everything in their power to halt Bane's return, should the world ever be cursed so.
