Archlich Vecna frees himself from Carceri

With his existence threatened, the Lich Vecna forces his way out of Carceri with sheer willpower and desperation that he could truly be destroyed.

When the famed Glade Guardians had first come into being, they made an uneasy alliance with the Archlich Vecna, who gifted his Hand to one of the group of which he had connected most, Azure. The young rogue wielded his hand viciously, and it had been a powerful tool that turned the tide of many battles. The only cost was that Azure would slowly shift and bend to the will of the Hand. After it had forced her to cut the throat of a fellow member, Anders Starblade, Azure deemed that the weapon would be destroyed.   Upon learning this, Vecna grew desperate, he lured his enemies and wardens to his cell with the promise of knowledge, evidence that would lead them to treasures relating back to the Twin Creators. Upon their entrance, Vecna slaughtered them, devoured their souls, and fought his way out of Carceri. He attacked and stole a Spelljammer, and began rebuilding his forces.
