Imrys the Darkheart is Released

Through lies, deceit, and illusion, the Glade Guardians were lured to the Temple of Gond, where an ancient and powerful evil to rival the powers of Vecna stirred. After what the Guardians thought was an overwhelming victory proved fatal for members of their group, when the Darkheart was unleashed.

Imrys, the Darkheart, Dracolich and Soulbinder had been released. His cultists spent months planting information that would slowly lead the Glade Guardians to believe that the Temple of Gond in the Dhenbadir Mountains was the resting place of the legendary blade Kingsrise, a blade of mythical proportions that could assist them in aiding Duchess Lyanna Ashglade in her civil war against Daromin.   The Guardians fought vailiantly against who they thought were cultists of the Darkheart, and save the priests and priestesses of Gond only to realize it had all been an illusion. The cult leader used the mythical Hammer of Gond and shattered the veil that kept Imrys at bay. Imrys emerged, in his full power. The Guardians attempted to fight back, and Imrys murdered one of the members in cold blood, returning her as one of his lieutenants.   The Guardians were no match for such a creature, and were forced to flee. Imrys began plotting his second conquest of Korrisia, now without the powerful godlike heroes in his way, and his nemesis Vecna nowhere to be seen, he would be unstoppable.
