Era beginning/end
When the Prime Deities sealed Heirrath in her prison, below Mt. Celestia, prophecies were created as part of the cost of the binding ritual. The First Prophecy was that the world's defenders would be wiped away, allowing chaos to reign. The second prophecy was that the world, in chaos, would be brought under the iron fist of one with good intention. The third prophecy would be that a new hero, of good and noble intention, would burn the scroll of sealing at the gates of the gods. The final prophecy was foretold that the world would ignite in flame against the rule of the supreme. Vrondiss, taking the throne of the Overlord and exerting her supreme reign over the world locked the Guardians, the last mortal hope for the world into rebelling out of necessity. The prophecies sealing Heirrath in her prison have been fulfilled, the final chains have shattered and the Thousand Hands of Hate is free. With Heirrath free, she was capable of easily shattering the prisons of her siblings, who brought all of their minions and forces ot bear. The Betrayer Gods, seeking this opportunity as a chance to join under the Underlords' banner and rid the world of their Prime Deity enemies, erupted from their realms. The Prime Deities lost all hope and were content to leave the world to its oblivion. Through the efforts of a group of noble heroes, the Guardians of Korrisia, they tracked Heirrath to her own realm where she amassed her power, and engaged her. In a moment of desperation, Heirrath summoned all of the Underlords and consumed their essence, becoming Heirrath the Calamity. The Guardians never faltered, and fought on, eventually using Aelzan's Divine Spark as the fuel to complete a ritual of binding, trapping Heirrath in her realm for eternity. The Cath Cathanna was not over, but it was enough to move the Prime Deities to action. The gods descended upon Korrisia to defend their faithful. The world is consumed by fire and death, demons pour from doorways opened across the planet. Angels descend from the heavens and fight in the streets side-by-side with the mortals they swore to defend. While the world burns, a ship of refugees, named Nera's Ark, a massive spelljammer has fled Korrisian space, travelling amongst the Crystal Spheres in search of a new home. Some of the Guardians joined these travelers, others have elected to stay and save what is left of their home.
