Disaster / Destruction
The plot of Kormund to destroy his brother was in motion, it was time to strike.
Kormund and his children, both god and mortal, rose with him. He had spent centuries weaving lies and filling the minds of all mortals with hatred and contempt for their "False King." Kormund promised freedom from the tyrannical rule of Garenthar, when Kormund struck, he struck hard. Many of the kingdoms and empires long forgotten burned when Kormund and his faithful struck. Kormund tore gates to the Nine Hells, he brought Abyssal creatures from thin air, the world was ablaze. Garenthar and his children rallied against his brother's forces, the deaths were countless. Brother against Father against Sister clashed on the battlefield, Kormund's lies burrowed deep and cause families, races, kingdoms to split. Garenthar did everything he could to reunite his people, but he knew many would have to fall. The War in Heaven lasted years, with non-stop death on a global scale. Garenthar knew this would have to end with his Brother's death. Garenthar faced Kormund on an open field, the two clashed, and with every sword strike mountains rose or crumbled, parts of the oceans burned away, Korrisia cracked and nearly shattered. The Prime Deities named Kormund's children Betrayers and faced them in battle, eventually pushing them back and banishing them to their own realms. After nearly three years of battle, Kormund turned his fury against a mortal, Garenthar stepped in the way and protected her, but Kormund had struck a mortal blow. Seeing how far his brother had fallen, and watching him murder innocent mortals drove Garenthar into a fury that has never been seen before, the sun itself blazed, the ground cracked and burned from his fury, Garenthar took his mighty blade and took Kormund's left arm, and drove the blade into his heart. Kormund frantically retreated to his Everspire, his throne, and his body burned away on the seat. Garenthar quickly formulated his plans for his children to be ready to take over, he retreated to the Golden City, his finest creation where all mortals who passed could live in bliss, where his own children lived, where he had found love and had mortal children. Garenthar gave his final instructions to his children, with his last pieces of divine power, he repaired Korrisia, and gave her life again. Garenthar sat on his Golden Throne, watched his creation keep spinning, and died. The Prime Deities removed the Golden City far from the sight of mortals, and instructed ancient beings to protect it should anyone go looking. They also made sure their father could sit on his throne, and his body would never crumble, so he could forever watch over all.
