Alchemists are a kind of scholar that appeared during the utopian years of Korun. They where explicitly interested to magic as a science and its relationship with the physical wold.
They study those relations through experiments over potions and substances. Most of them are eccentric enough to also experiment on themselves. However alchemy is considered one of the most complex sciences in the world and only the most intelligent inhabitants manage to excel to in tin a way they can use it a profession.
Structure
A wide network of individuals that usually only know each other through scientific achievements and fame. They do not really have any short of structure besides that to be considered an alchemist you have to study under one and that. They connect through common acointences and there are some alchemists that are cosnidered more famous and therefore act as connections between all of them.

Alchemy is a very cash earning profeccion and all alchemists can sustain themselves withougt mush work. Therefore each alchemist will always own a considerable amount of money and probably a decent estate with a well aquipted lab.
History
The Alchemists were the first residents of the world that started meddling with plane magic as a structure. Unknowingly they caused the eyes of Volco to fall upon Korun and therefore initiate the deterioration. After 5 hundreds of years of deterioration their kind is considered extinct as no active ones exist to the public and so their knowledge cannot be transmitted. Their legacy for the public is extremely rare potions and artifacts that now the rich collect and never use.
Most of them actually now inhibit the secret city of Kamantu in the abandoned Isle Magnon. They have realized their connection to the changes happening to the world and both to protect themselves and search for a solution they are hiding there.

Alchemical Discoveries
The alchemists that instead of spending their lives as researchers, become adventures are unique in many ways. They use alchemical magic to alter themselves in a way that the can face the challenges of adventuring better and that has many interesting implications.Their magic slowly interacts with their lifestyle and their other talents and as a result they evolve a kind of magical abilities that resemble the effects of the potions they consume by will.
They believe that there is behind those seemingly random effects, exists a pattern that according to them holds very special significance to the way magic works. Every expression of such a result the call a discovery and they catalogue them with great detail. The way alchemy will interfere with each individual seems to be affected by both the character of the individual as well as his intelligence and the way he uses alchemy. When they are not cataloguing or experimenting in ti most likely that they are somewhere exploring their new capabilities and playing with their new talents.
