House Sitarapeiro (see-tar-ah-peer-oh)
House Sitarapeiro is situated on the southern coast of Asinisos in the city of Spor. Through fishing and monumental agricultural empire, Spor produces much of the food that sustains the republics and beyond, and it is House Sitarapeiro that is in charge of its distribution.
House Sitarapeiro is lead by Damophon, a halfling as broad as he is tall, earning him the nickname “Fat Damophon” which he wears with good humor. Fat Damophon is on the surface the very stereotype of a plump, friendly halfling, but beneath this facade is a scheming and calculating merchant. Rumors of Fat Damophon starving his allies and enemies alike to git his way are whispered in the streets of Spor, but the Demarkos keeps his people fed, happy, and pliable to his wants, so dissent goes over poorly.
Through the riches brought in by House Sitarapeiro, Spor has become rich. Well kept streets wind between idyllic orchards, giving the city a feeling of homey comfort unrivaled by any of the other cities or city-states. It kept this feeling even when the war demanded they increase their output of foodstuffs dramatically, though several farmers who complained about the workload quietly disappeared, their land (and contracts) were donated to others more willing to undertake the work.
