Charste

This land is mostly broken lands and Desert, being in the shadow of the Lantra Mountains. It has few fertile lands, and famine creeps up every decade or so, causing more land to decay. Most of the Dynasty believe that the gods have turned their backs on them, and as such, they have stopped following most gods and have taken to shunning magic. There has been a long propaganda campaign that has slowly segregated magic users and god followers from the rest of the country. The queen has ruled from a young age, as the previous king and queen died when she was 6. She did marry and have a few heirs before her husband suddenly died as well. Shortly after his death, the anti-magic/god propaganda hit full swing, though this wasn’t the first time the queen and her council were displeased with how their dynasty seemed to be viewed by the gods. They are in the middle of a heavy industrial boom. Factories are popping up, and the produce imported from Takola is bought by these factories and canned. Fashion is more mass produced and guns and steam engines are recent inventions.
