Kurinsk
The town of Kurinsk is easily found by those made privy to its existence. Within the northern part of Bryns, the town is close enough to the border of Maksim for trade to be quick and easy, seldom difficult. The townsfolk have accumulated a great amount of wealth since its founding.
Dedicated to the markets, Kurinsk is filled with those unable, unwilling to fight in the relentless War of Vengeance. But the town is not safe for the peasants who seek respite from the pains of war. It offers no aid to those that cannot help themselves. Thieves walk the streets openly and without shame, as rogues and murderers sell their ill-gotten goods to those that stumble into their town. It is difficult to find anyone living in the town without a long history of crime, or from a family brought to shame.
The Dealers run this town, the only source of law among the lawless. Many of the most unfortunate people found are on their payroll, terrible deeds done in order to forge a brighter tomorrow. All honest businesses and factions are forced to pay protection fees, and give the Dealers a small part of their earnings in order to remain on good terms.
Demographics
Two thousand Half-Orcs and Humans call this home theirs. There are an unknown number of Goblins living within the town's walls, and many more stationed within the surrounding forests. Rumours of the numbers being in the thousands has been disproven, though it does not bode well with many.
Government
With false tongues and pretenses they swear feality to the Prince, but their true master is gold. The Dealers run the town as mock law enforcement. There are no laws, save that every person is responsible for keeping this town thriving. Everyone has their place, and most know it. Those that don't often disappear. Taxes, or funding, are collected by the Dealers as protection, and daily fees for being undisturbed while selling their goods. The money is used to pay their employees, and repair any natural damages caused to buildings.
Industry & Trade
Scavengers
Peasants and outsiders who have been forced to turn to a life of murder. After each great conflict, these people walk through the deserted battlefields, looting the dead and dying. Deserters are often targeted, for selling them back to their commanders can earn the Scavenger a great ransom price.
There are many merchant stalls. While most of these small vendors are employed by proper shops, individual merchants have been known to work with Scavengers, buying their products for a good price, and selling it at a higher rate, without their patrons knowing. These merchants purchase both items and people. Their hired help are often sent to far off towns, provinces, and on occasion over sea to spread rumours of the town, and recommend the merchant for a discount. Many adventuring folk have unwittingly encountered one of these living advertisements.
Outside the walls are forests, able to conceal many. The real wealth of the Dealers is found in the poachers and woodsmen. Composed mostly of people unable to repay their debts, and those who have stumbled on something they should have never seen (invoking the ire of the Dealers) are sent to work the land. Because of the constant supply, these labourers are often overworked and malnourished. Those unable to continue are sold to younger, or degenerate, vampires.

Guilds and Factions
The Dealers
A pact of leeches, holding dominion over others through threat of violence and claiming their rule, is the status quo. They take a cut of the profits made my vendors, and charge protection fees to the bigger merchants found within their walls. The Blue Swordsmen
Unlucky, though not completely finished, the Blue Swordsmen are a very small group of disgraced warriors, who believe that they can earn a chance to redeem themselves. They don't fight for gold, nor silver. Rather, they fight for deals and agreements to increase their standing. Their leadership, under Zoeia the Half-Orc, is what is holding them back the most. Although she is resourceful and motivational, she is far too cautious, and in a real confrontation becomes paralyzed with fear.
