Valeri, the Restless Blade
(a.k.a. The Exiled Prince, [formerly] The Slayer of Tyrants)
"Run."Valeri was a natural born warrior, possibly the greatest that has ever walked the land. However his lack of empathy led him to becoming the black sheep of his family. He worked as a mercenary, lending his skill not to the highest bidder, but to whoever could prive the greatest challenges. His shifting loyalty brought shame to his families name, for in the thick of battle he was known to betray his own forces, or slaughter any that would stand in his way. Found in a small tavern by Efram after the death of their father, he was unaware of the Orc menace that had been plaguing their lands. He was the first to agree with the plan to gain power from the Hags, the first to agree to their terms, and the first to imbed his axe into the skull of one of the Hags. Unreasonable and irrideemable, Valeri led small vanguards into where the Orcs were the thickest, losing himself in battle and abandoning those under him to their fates. He suffered the heaviest losses, but brought some of the greatest victories and so was accepted by his brothers. As the conflict drew on, it was impossible to work alongside him, as his blade cut through allies and enemies alike drawing the contempt of his kin. Unsure of how to deal with him, it was agreed that he must be removed from thier lands for the others to prosper. They exiled him to the north, where he and his followers remain to this day. What he looked like as a human is unknown, long forgotten. His rage enduced murders and gluttenous drinking of blood has changed him into a beastial figure, warping mind and flesh. He resembles a half bat, skin tight against muscle and teeth overgrown and sharper than any beast.
