Fur troll

Basic Information

Anatomy

Fur troll, as their name suggest, are covered in fur that often correspond to the terrain they lives on. Their four limbs are adapted to climbing (four hands) with claws to deal consequent damages. they have three dark eyes on the forehead, and a prominent jaw full of canine.

Biological Traits

Taiga and forest troll have more grey-brown fur (troll from temperate forest have shorter fur), mountain ones tend to have white fur and have more fat. female troll have little to no fur on the chest, with prominent four breasts.

Genetics and Reproduction

Fur trolls are full Mammal, that give birth to one or two babies after 6 month of gestation.

Growth Rate & Stages

they grow in more or less ten years, fur appearing rapidly and claws growing in the five first years.

Ecology and Habitats

mountain, taiga, forest, cold environment. Wolves avoid them and fear them, even bears do not try to attack one alone.

Dietary Needs and Habits

perfectly carnivorous, with some fruits; seem to be fond of cows, goat, orks and elnumels.

Biological Cycle

They tend to be more active in winter, hunting in full day; and more passive in summer, staying inside caves and hunting at night.

Social Structure

male troll stay away from each other, having personal caves, and sometime gather to hunt together big preys, then fight over the dead body. Females tend to lives together in small group and shares children breast-milking.

Domestication

Trolls are formidable mount and fighter, but extremely hard to domesticate. Only Goblin are courageous (stupid) enough to capture and tame them, then gives them to Orks who raise and domesticate them.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Troll's fur makes good clothes for winter, and heat insulator. Troll's fat is also as good as lot of other's animal's fat for lot of things, from eating to candles and even healing and alchemical ingredient. The flesh of the septrian troll is very tasty and refined, and is an integral part of the culinary culture of orcs and ogres, it is a bit tasteless once boiled, and tend to become chewy when grilled; so mastering it's cooking is an art.

Tend to use branches, trunks and rocks as weapons. Very good in planing ambush.

their eyes are not very good, and see better at night. They ave a very powerful smell, and a good hearing, that allows them to catch preys in surprise.

their fur are always full of lot of fleas, ticks and some flowers sticky seeds.

very solid, stand and walk straight, but sometime use all four to run. adult often have wrinkles on face, even at young age.
