Flayleaf is a slow-growing shrub that only attains a height of around 3 feet. It takes five to seven years for the plat to reach its full height, though it is somewhat hardy species needing little maintenance other than access to sunlight and water.

Flayleaf induces greater sociability (similar to mild alcoholic intoxication) accompanied by stimulation or excitability (similar to caffeine or amphetamines), loss of appetite, and euphoria characterized by disinhibition - poor impulse control, diminished self-consciousness, and a lowered perception of risk, creating a temporary feeling of confidence or fearlessness.
