Cloud Kelpie
Accursed denizens of the Expanse / Veil, borne by broken oaths or curses uttered by the otherwise faithful.
These nearly transparent, vaprous beings are restlessly adrift on wind currents, perpetually change their shape, and are filled with loathing for the living - those who so carelessly choose their words. Kelpie are intelligent but posess no speech that mortals can understand. Even if their psionic whispers were deciphered by humankind, the concepts at their heart would be too alien to grasp.
Because they are often hostile toward mortals, manifesting siren-song psionics which lure unsuspecting sailors overboard, most larger airships employ a Bard to 'sing down the Kelpie.' So long as the Bard performs, singing cheerful sea shanties, Kelpie will not approach the vessel.

"Over the ages, many curses great and small have been uttered and bled into the world.
Moments of rage and pain in the hands of those with might magics result in these malisons, utterances of doom, and punishments.
Most curse-work exisints for a year or a lifetime and then it fades away like so much carrion rotting into the soil.
But not all."
