Upon arriving, the party is able to see the giant stone dragon statue where they believe may be the key location to finding out about dragonlances and the orb. The party ends going through the entrance of Foghaven Valley, eventually reaching an entry to the ruins where they meet a gnome name Theodenes (And his familiar Star, who is a baby saber tooth tiger. He who knows a secret way through the stone dragon that leads to Sancrist and asks to join the party, which they allow. The party continues, and he reveals he has a bag of holding - him and Alphy get into a headed conversation as Alphy wants to know what happens if you put a living thing in the bag, and Theo ends up threatening him that he can chop off his arm and then put it in, otherwise he'd never find out as people aren't allowed in his bag. Whilst in the ruins, they come to a room where Laurana and Vinoth go in together whilst Alphy keeps watch - unfortunately, the room is a trap filled with these nasty worms that quickly burrow into Laurana and Vinoth's flesh. Laurana panics and runs to Alphy yelling at him to help her, and he looks at the worms in her skin as they burrow up her arms and legs towards her core. He realises these worms are a kind that burrow to the heart and kill the afflicted quickly - he decides to use the vorpal sword to slice the one out of her arm, thinking he needed a sharp weapon, however he ends up cutting Laurana's arm off. She screams and passes out, and Vinoth comes to help as he worked out how to remove them. Alphy panics and the two patch up Laurana and try to stop her from bleeding out as the party assists in stabilising her. Alphy asks Theo to put her arm in his bag but Theo still refuses, much to Alphy's disappointment, and the party decides they need to continue and find somewhere to stop as Laurana will be out for a while. Alphy picks her up , puts her arm in his bag and they move on, but are stopped the son of the Ogre King Stormogre, Thunderbane, demanding they hand over Theo, who is revealed to be a thief. The ogre then demands the party surrender too, leading to them fighting and killing him. Realising the potential disaster killing Thunderbane could lead to, the party quickly flees further into Foghaven Vale.
