War of the Lance
Before Meeting the Party
IN 350 AC Gilthanas Kanan comes to Theros in Solace to ask for assistance. The elves of Qualinesti are leaving their lands and need ships built. Theros agrees to go with him to assist the elves in leaving. After a year of assisting the elves, Theros ends back in Solace, only to see things going horribly wrong there. Theros was hired by Toede to create weapons for his troops, and Theros created flaws in the blades. Theros also assists in helping elves escape from the city, so that Toede's people wouldn't take them to be killed.
After Meeting the Party
The party would first encounter Theros when they first came to Solace prior to going to the Inn of the Last Home. They would briefly converse with him. They would eventually run into him again being captured after escaping Xak-Tsaroth. He was on death's door and missing an arm after fighting some Draconians. Goldmoon would heal him, and he'd escape with the party when Gilthanas' group rescued them. They would leave him when it was time to go to Pax Tharkas.
He would find a magical prosthetic called the Silver Arm of Ergoth and bond with it, leading to a Gray Wraith chasing him. He would flee to Qualinost and go back to helping the Qualinesti elves. The party would find him again when they found themselves in Qualinost. Theros would help them to escape after being trapped by the elves, travelling with them to the Stone Dragon Mountain. Alphy would realise his arm was the key to crafting the Dragonlances. The Gray Wraith would return, and the party would defeat it for him. He would eventually help the party to craft more Dragonlances and work out how to create them.
From here, Theros travelled with the party until they boarded the boats to go to Cristyne. He would decide to split from the party and assist with the war efforts and ensuring the secrets of Lance creation where protected and used for good.
