The party has to help find supplies, shelter and stop political conflict among the group. The party encounters draconians and the highlord several times, before deciding to head in the direction of the dwarven city Thorbardin near the coast. The party decides that this location will prove safe, assuming the party can find it. Whilst traveling, they find a stone tower with a telescope and stone slab that has writing written on it. After investigating, the party realises the telescope shows where the city is.
The party tells the refugees, and then they find a vale where the refugees can rest and plan the march to Thorbardin. Whilst traveling, the party also learns of the Dwarfgate wars. A great wizard named Fistanantilus fought against the dwarves, who prior the catcalsym sealed their gates to step refugees entering. The wizard battled them, eventually lcreating Skullcap in the fallout, which is rumoured to be the wizards final resting place and a way to enter Thorbardin. The party decides to go to skullcap, hoping to find something to assist with their adventure and access to the dwarven city.
