Alphy Gets Taken to Court

Whilst the party travels Alphy travels to an outpost near the ocean with the sea elves. They refuse to tell him what's happening, and they take him to an underwater area that has a screen, allowing him to see into an essential virtual version of a courtroom. Prior to the session, he is viciously scrubbed and told off by his relative for being a nuisance, however they provide him no details. He ends up attending the session, where everyone, including his parents, are present. It's revealed that it's his ex fiancee, Memphis, who started this. She heard songs about him killing Verminaard and immediately snitched to the Aristocrats. She claims that he has committed treason, and that he is deliberately dragging their people into a war and abusing his position to be a shit stirrer since he killed Verminaard, when there were other party members perfectly capable of doing so. Memphis suggests that the Aristocrats banish him from Cnidaria, and his parents disown him. Alphy's parents don't react, and he ignores them. The court asks Alphy to defend himself, and he ends up telling them it was genuinely an accident (which is true) and he largely explains as best as he can, but he's just confused. He also states that it's stupid to banish him, as he basically banished himself when he left 20 years ago, and he has no interest in returning. Additionally, he hasn't talked to his parents in 20 years and has ignored all their attempts at communication, so if anything he disowned himself. He also goes on to explain the war and the parties current goals, and how it's important the dragon armies are stopped. The court is interested in what he says, and ends up ruling that he is genuinely confused, and that they believe it was an accident. He narrowly escapes getting charged, and the Vedalkens immediately turn to asking about his chimera and if he's discovered anything interesting. They conclude the session by stating that Memphis will have to pay a massive fee for wasting everyones time, however she gives off the impression that she doesn't regret it. Alphy is dismissed and returns to the party with the sea elves.
