Tragedy & Xak-Tsaroth

Era beginning/end

The party would travel to Xak-Tsaroth, where on the way, they would discover several Plainsmen villages destroyed and the people gone. Goldmoon would grieve for her people, however, this only motivated her more.
  The party would traverse the swamps around Xak-Tsaroth, eventually coming to the ancient city where they encounter their first dragon. This black dragon would blast Alphy and Pernicious, giving them a taste of the awesome power of dragons. Shortly after, with the two severely injured, Goldmoon would pray to the god Mishakal, who would intervene and heal them. This action would prove the existence of the true gods, and Goldmoon would reveal they needed to find the disks of Mishakal to bring back the magic of the gods, thus allowing them to assist against the Dragon armies.
  The party would eventually find the black dragons lair in the depths of the city, where Goldmoon would destroy the staff and slay the dragon, sacrificing herself. A member of the party would find the Disks of Mishakal. They would grab them and flee as the lair collapsed around them. Riverwind would be distraught once the party escaped, however Goldmoon would magically appear outside of Xak-Tsaroth fully healed by Mishakal and ready to go.
  The party had now completed the goal assigned by the Mages, proving the gods were real. Ahri would leave the party, having completed her goal assigned by the Mages.
