Looking at this hierarchy of the Deities chart will help you understand a little more with how gods and deities are with this world.
Humans and the other playable races are a balancing neutral that influences the power levels between negative and positive. When the races are giving off large amounts of positive energy, then the positive side of deities feed from this becoming stronger. Just as if the races give off large amounts of negative energy, the negative deities feed off this and become stronger. When the races are giving off large amounts of neutral energies, then the world feeds off this energy becoming stronger.

All three forms of energy are the life essence, the 'food' for which the world, gods and deities need in order to survive.
Starting at the bottom of the pyramid, we see that Dragons and Daimons are the lowest ranking deities. Meaning the most common, weakest and more than likely somewhere near or inside larger groups of the normal races. They are the grunts, the foot soldiers, the messengers and also used to try to influence what type of energies the normal races are giving off. We also see that these ranks are commonly known as Observers and Occultists, reporting directly to the Attestants and Generals.
Shinzoku and Low Masoku, they directly control the observers, occultists (Zhethrh'ithar) while answering to the Kings and Queens above them. They are fewer in number, rarer to be seen, leading the ones under them from behind the scenes. They are more powerful, have greater responsibilities and are the main force of leaders for the grunts. Kings and Queens, they are very few in numbers, almost never seen but extremely powerful and control the ones under them. Gods, there are 3 positive gods and 3 negative gods that answer to one single god.
There is a single deity that is all powerful, all knowing and all fearful "The Golden Mother of Darkness". Almost nothing is known about this head deity, she is only mentioned once throughout all of the written history of this world. Never interfering being both negative and positive at the same time, being without weakness and even the two ancient greater Gods fear her.
