Personal history
Lord Hawke of Keyswind is a notable Froenian outlaw with a sizable bounty in the area of Timber's Bend. Of noble birth, he followed the Duke Rykard of Timber's Bend to serve in battle at The First Bulwark, against a legion of the undead threatening to destroy the region. While Duke Rykard remained and continued to serve after this battle, Hawke returned home to find his lands and estate had been siezed by the Duke's brother, Johann, who was acting as regent in Rykard's absence. In the months since taking over, Johann had taxed the people in the area of Timber's Bend into poverty, and Hawke took it upon himself to right this wrong. Gathering what he could of his military unit and disgruntled yeomen, he formed The Hawke's Cowl, an outlaw group dedicated to supporting the impoverished commoners using the appropriated wealth of the nobles around Timber's Bend. He regularly leads raids on trade caravans known to be sent out by the nobility, and regularly makes appearances in villages around Timber's Bend, discreetly distributing food and money to the oppressed. He vows to continue until Duke Rykard returns, and rights his brother's wrongs.
Hawke is an expert bowman, and an accomplished swordsman. His military experiences serve him well in setting up raids and ambushes, even on the most well-guarded caravans.
He can usually be identified by his bow, which bears intricate silver filigree matching his namesake, depicting hawks in flight.
Duke Johann is currently offering a bounty of 1250 gold pieces to any person that brings him Lord Hawke - dead or alive.
