Session 0: Where it all Began Report
General Summary
Our adventurers begin at the bottom of the village of Galtar, as the rainstorm comes to a head. Thunder rolls as lightning cracks, and our heroes are set into motion to save their town and their families.
Vosssk and Toryn, first to be given orders by Guard Captain Kruz, leave from the town gates, where a boulder had just rolled through the city, to check on a part of the town's palisade that was likely destroyed, and on the way, they pass by Jabberkinsie Manor, where Elamen, Enoch, and (stealthily) Teneki join up, and they make their way with all due haste.
As the party approaches the broken part of wall, they arrive just in time to see a pack of wild goblins coming through. The party engages, and after a short but tense battle, emerges victorious. Vosssk takes the time to make sure that this pack of goblins wasn't simply part of a larger group, but he's interrupted by the distant sound of one of his siblings calling for help from the docks, which have recently become increasingly dangerous with the rain.
Everyone rushes to help, and on their arrival, they find one of Vosssk's little siblings clinging for dear life to a broken part of the docks, with some members of the village doing what they can to bring them to safety. Above, they see a large boulder being suspended above the falls overlooking the hut, held in place by some of the villagers. At Kruz's orders, Vosssk and Toryn are sent to get help from the front of the town, just before the boulder suspended above the docks collapses, several villagers vanishing below the lake.
From there, the memory of this night gets hazy for all, as three years pass...
