Ereduarn Empire

This sprawling, equatorial empire in its golden age spanned every Dwarven clan, and conquered many territories of the other races. It was well-known for its monumental cities and global trade network which spanned the Achican Ocean and further.

Public Agenda

To promote the welfare of all peoples and creeds willing to work towards the good of the empire, and crush those who oppose prosperity.

Disbandment

The Wake marked the official end of this empire and most other nations on either half of Kyre. Much of its government and population disappeared shortly before this event after the gods of the state religion, The Brazen Order, called for their faithful to prepare to be taken into Mirala. This left few to maintain the empire the during the chaos after the event, leaving most grand monuments and cities to decay into ruin.

Demography and Population

Besides the dwarves which held the majority of power, many other cultures were conquered and governed. The second-most common race in the empire was humans, followed by gnomes, halflings, and dragonborn.

Territories

The Ereduarn Empire controlled Ondala up along the East coast and about half as far back down the West coast. Following the coast in the other direction of their starting point of the Thundermaw bay, they stretched around the Eastern peninsulas and jumped North to Bralis. Moving in from the coasts, their homelands included the central mountains and up to the Delan desert, and their familiarity with desert life made colonizing the Dry Between a cinch. Most of these lands were taken by force, but governed somewhat loosely in the later decades so people wouldn't revolt.

Religion

The ancient form of the Brazen Order was the state religion. They rarely suppressed people's worship of other lawful-aligned gods outside the Brazen pantheon, but did forcefully dismantle systems that supported chaos deities.

Education

Academic and arcane subjects were reserved for the elite in ancient days, and focused on strategy, mathematics, the empire's history, and language. All citizens were drafted into mandatory military service for a time and received some degree of martial training even if they proved themselves unfit for combat.
