The Call to the Brazen

A sign from the Brazen Gods

"I align my Brazen Will with that of Deity, that I may be preserved against the chaos to come."
— One of many identical text fragments found around Thundermaw from the end of the Ereduarn Empire

An ancient prophecy that came true soon after being given from the Brazen Gods. Their clerics prophesied that a great disaster was coming, and that those who heeded the Gods and prepared themselves could be spared. Just a few days before The Wake hit, they did just that and those that had to be left behind were left with a sure sign of the power of the Brazen.

Summary

In the years before the Wake, there were strange lights that danced across the sky like silent lightning. It was a global phenomenon, and the world was panicking. The Gods of the The Brazen Order spoke through their clerics in unanimous prophecy: disaster was coming, but they could spare whoever was willing to put their faith in them.

Many Members of the Ereduarn Empire heeded their call. Even some who weren't a part of the order converted to write out their Assentations, including the one that would protect them from the eventual Wake.

The prophecy came true. Just a few days before the Splice, those that wanted to be saved were gathered and taken up into Mirala.

Historical Basis

It was recorded by multiple sources, even by those outside of Thundermaw that a majority of the Ereduarn Empire vanished just days before the Splice happened. It was a hot topic in the short span of time before the arrival of the second moon and the outpouring of magic threw the world into chaos.

Spread

Pretty much everyone in Thundermaw or the Brazen Order is aware of this ancient prophecy for its historical relevance to the region and religion.
