Witchblades

Fashioned from orichalchum, witchblades have the distinction of being the preferred weapons for any bearing the Mark. Though any metal can channel magical abilities to some extent, steel is a poor conductor of magical material. Bronze is little better and even brass, though durable, offers little in the way of magical conductivity.
Witchblades use orichalchum to overcome how sensitive copper is to the elements, and this gold-copper alloy channels magic effectively and with style. Most wizards who take up weapons prefer one through which they can work their magics easily, and witchblades often have enchantments layered on them as well. Any kind of weapon can be a 'witchblade', from firearms to hammers, though swords are the most common.
