Teriat Canal

The Teriat Canal is the connector for the west Teriat river of Dirn to the east Teriat river of Kaelia. It was built after the split so bridge the gap between the Teriat river. It was one of the most expensive infrastructural investments of the The Kaeslaran Dominion and costed an insane sum of money but most Kaelian people consider it worth it for the steady supply of water to Kaelia provided by the Teriat Canal.

Purpose / Function

The Teriat canal was created to bridge the gap between the two halves of the newly split Teriat river, split over the two new sky continents of Dirn and Kaelia.

Alterations

Over time more and more reinforcements have been added using the percent of taxes of Kaeslaran Dominion owned towns and city's which goes forwards up keeping the canal. More supports are put in on occasion with spare tax money to make sure the canal is safe and does not collapse, which would be an immense catastrophe.

Architecture

The Teriat canal is built using stone and wood, stone and brick is used to support the canal and for its base, keeping it up and making sure it does not fall. Wood is also used to a large extent as a material to make sure that the Teriat canal does not fall into the The World Core (Energy field).

History

The Teriat canal was built after The Solstice of Shadows, A.K.A the split. When the split happened the once connected continents of Dirn and Kaelia were split apart, severing the Teriat river in two. In order to keep the water supply going to Kaelia The Kaeslaran Dominion decided that they would invest thousands of gold and platinum into creating a giant canal in the sky, which ended up working out and was considered well worth it in the end.
