Mechanics & Inner Workings

The "Input" chamber performs a destructive scan of the host, compiling a holistic image of original's state of being. The "output" chamber then molds the clone neuron by neuron into a (almost) perfect duplicate.

Significance

Having access to such a facility put one in rarefied air, as one of only a few dozen people in the sector that can claim to be truly Persistent . This also put one in a position of extreme danger as almost everyone involved in supporting Doctor Bannick's project was aware of the others. In a post scream universe, they only way to source the replacement parts to keep ones Engine running is to steal it from another Engine.
