Caripreet Summer

A Caripreet Summer refers to a celebratory journey of rising Cardinal Merchants in Caripreet, though it often extends to other children of Cardinal Merchants who won't take the mantle. While it's intended to be a coming-of-age journey that informs the rising Cardinal Merchants of the diverse people of the world, the variety of businesses, and foreign political exchange, it typically turns into a drinking vacation with little to be learned.

Route

The journey starts on an island just off the coast of the Nadlewood Strip by the name of "Authen Tur," which is mostly inhabited by gnomes and humans. The stay here is short due to insubstantial lodging, but it's considered one of the few opportunities the kids may get to engage with gnomes before their rise to power. Further, the island has various unique products produced in short quantities but in high demand.    the second stop is north of Authen Tur, across the fingerless gulf. Urrlógun, renowned for its big game hunting and the Lyslure Woods in the east, is a fantastic place to display "backward culture" to the Caripreetian travelers. Even the Heisel Family, who rules the lordship, takes part in common life and hunting. To further bewilder the travelers, the highest-class drink is the vile brew known as "kumis," which is either imported from Vastplain or fermented in their own taverns.   The third stop is Kala, which shares many similarities with their homeland of Caripreet. The Oligarchy of Kala tends to accept travelers with open arms, providing palace housing and providing servants to tend every need.    The Fourth stop is Poueir, which provides the travelers with another merchant-based land, but of less regale than Kala or Caripreet, perhaps due to the innate modesty of the Elves. Given the majority of the immediate port territory is just that: ports, all of the nation's beauty is in the natural land itself.    A relatively new stop is the colonies on the eastern coast of Silse. Unless military activity is imminent, the soldiers tend to accept their brothers with open arms. In the short days of visiting, cheap drinks and food may be had, but the soldiers themselves tend to reap the rewards of the visit. Captains will usually attempt to get close to the to-be Cardinal Merchants in hopes of garnering some political gain in the future, or perhaps securing more resources for the war.   The 6th location is Anomae, capital of Nim. The Elves of Nim use to enjoy celebrations with the foreigners, though council has grown cold since the invasions of Ghei Wyl began. In order to avoid conflict, the travelers are told to keep a solemn visage about them, engage in light political discourse, and prod anyone important for their opinions on the "unfortunate conflict."   The 7th and final location is an island off the coast of Mot D'nir. Perhaps the least enjoyable aspect of the journey for the heat, humidity, and foreign culture, the travelers must understand their closest neighbors. As immigration from Mot D'nir increases with each generation, knowing the trade and customs is essential for capitalizing on their patronage in the future.
