Life, Death
The death of Emperor Sahra Abdul IV at the hands of starvation. Though caught in a nationwide famine at the time, his death would come form enlightened fasting, in hopes of understanding the "plight of the people."
Emperor Sahra Abdul IV was an influential ruler in his time, unintentionally planting the seeds of the modern Augury. The first half of his career was painted in the separation of Shellbay from the core empire in hopes of allowing every territory to be equally heard. His bold decisions always inspired pushback, with no less than 4 attempts being made on his life throughout his career, but death would ultimately come at his own hands. After reaching enlightenment in Eldurgrund, Abdul would fast for weeks in hopes of feeling the pressures that famine put upon the common man. While some praise his commitment to understanding those that truly made up the empire, others point to his lack of interference to lessen the famine's impacts. Regardless, by the point of Abdul's death, his son was preparing to rise to power, but unbeknownst to the realm, Sahra Abdul IV had planted seeds of paranoia regarding Shellbay, the Bailum Consilium, and their patron god. As Shellbay wrapped their fingers around the mind of Abdul's son, the court's fears would be acted on.
