Financial Event
Kala Offers financial aid to those who had abandoned the Monadnock Symposium, claiming that the devotion to democracy inspired J'barri of all backgrounds.
After the initial struggles of the Confederacy Symposia in Ghei Wyl, the independent elvish nation was thriving. The 24 parties had abandoned their confrontational demeanor and votes were now considered a truly esteemed and elegant affair. With the slow decline of alcohol consumption after its initial legalization, many presumed that Ghei Wyl was in a new golden age; however, there was still a broad xenophobia for other species, as well as elves from other nations. This extended to the J'barri as well, though the Oligarchy of Kala's offer of financial aid began to shift this ideology for the better. While the oligarchy claimed that the financial aid was to support the "beautiful democracy" of Ghei Wyl, one must only look at the numbers to see the truth. Of the 24 parties, 7 were funded. Each of these groups was avid about the ban on alcohol. While the ban was intended to keep the tea market expanding, it would also give way to the future purchase of J'barri coffee, should the financial aid go through. Beyond this, 6 of the aforementioned groups were a militant bunch and shared a blatant hatred for humans. While this could be mere coincidence, some theorize that Ghei Wyl was only a first step in raising a force that would ensure a bloody wave of reparations in the name of J'barri vengeance. Perhaps fortunately for many, the talks between the organizations would never lead to action, as the River Kingdom of Nim stepped in to build an alliance with Kala, making them the powerful ally in the eastern elves.
