Snow-Rocks Attempt to Assert Control Over Trinen

The outbreak of war and assertion of control between the Snow-Rocks (aligned with Shellbay) and the Barondom of Fjordstrond.

As the Lograttes grew more and more greedy, they decided that all of Trinen should be aligned under the isles once more. With Shellbay in their pocket, they determined that it was time for war. The people of Fjordstrond now had more allies but had begun to master metallurgy as well. While the trade rapidly spread to the Snow-Rocks as well, they had far less advanced resources as a whole. However, they did have a much larger population than the opposition. Further, their soldier population boomed with all of the orphans left from the exodus to Astania.   The people of Shellbay were able to take advantage of Fjordstrond's architecture as well. They had a far more advanced navy to take control of the fjords, making matters worse for the locals. Finally, noxious chemicals were poured into the labyrinthian venting chambers of the Fjordstrond homes.   However, Shellbay did not want a city of dead citizens. They proposed an offer to Fjordstrond, allowing several marriage proposals, free travel, development of roads, and a ceremony to honor the Skaldsons as heroes of the Saltkrigere. The only requirements were surrender and turning against the Astanians. Having grown a distaste for the Astanians after seeing them in action (and worrying about a similar exodus from Fjordstrond), the Skaldson family agreed.   The family would be recognized as heroes as claimed, eventually leading to a saint within the family.
