The declaration of independence by Uliyo to his soldiers and civilians.
Uliyo Feneyl had gathered military support from his second in command, the head of guard. However, as part of the independence plan, The Stranger told Uliyo to take control of the guard himself by whatever means necessary. This did not become violent, as by threat of his new artifact, the head of guard willingly gave control of his men over to Uliyo. From here, it was not difficult to convince his people to follow him. Propaganda had long been in play and they felt abandoned by Riyael. Knowing that Feneyl had put his own neck on the line to keep them safe from the constructs, the citizens reportedly chanted his family name at the declaration and proceeded to take part in celebrations. This included a festival in which they burned straw avatars of their old gods and Riyael himself. This celebration is performed every year in the West, though they no longer burn an avatar of Riyael. Other specific gods (or divine beings) included Tsaoin, Silse, The Hailen Ryr, and Constructs.
