Roja Begins Reclamation of Renad-Pai

Construction beginning/end

130 P.E.

The first attempt of Roja to reclaim the buried Renad-Pai. While efforts were troublesome and slow, the land would eventually be uncovered thanks to the help of Ghattadon, the Gentle.

After the The Eruption of Renad-pai , Roja had all but ceased their smithing industry. The plume in the sky resulted in famine and near freezing temperatures for the people of the copper nation. While it seemed there was no end in sight, the Council of Roja decided that it was time to reclaim their mines. The motive behind this is unknown, as global industries had discontinued in the face of Ettermiddag, but some theorize that the council members wished to reinvigorate the country's long lost nationalism.   Early efforts were a failure, as most of the nation's excavation gear was now decades old, though this was not the main issue. Seeing as government control had fallen by the wayside in Ettermiddag, there was no quality process to vet those that would excavate the island. As a result, the majority of the workers were thieves and tomb robbers. Rather than clearing out flats of land, the excavators developed techniques to determine where lodging or townhouses were before tunneling directly to them. Once found, they would scavenge for old jewlery, tools, or books before selling them back to the country.
