The arrival of Vestergil to the Snow Rock Isles at the end of his long flight, he would come to temporarily take the Isles.

After a long flight and observance of the world, Vestergil decided to go to the Snow Rock Isles. He went with a mission in mind, but he was almost immediately attacked on arrival. While legends of Vestergil had reached the Isles, no one believed it to be true. All the inhabitants knew was that a massive, fearsome creature approached them. They attempted to pelt him with arrows, ballistas, and catapults. Several attacks managed to hit him, sending him into a fury. He waged a war of the skies and brought great storms to the inhabitants. He reigned fire and lightning upon the people until they submitted to his presence.   His intention had been to organize the isles, not destroy them. While plenty of infrastructure remained, he had destroyed much of the capital buildings of The Island's Five. This event would result in the imagery of Vestergil being a cruel tyrant, but he would go on to regret his instinctual response to their attacks.   The active leader of the Isles would die during this, and many came to believe that this was Vestergil's response to the blood of Warren being removed from the Isles. Later, Vestergil would make clear that he knew not of Warren or any of the Isles' politics. He simply knew of their presence.   With his unfortunate approach and somewhat cruel nature of the time, he would continue his occupation and organization of the Snow Rocks. He would rule over them until the end of Morgunn and his initial request was to build a seemingly impossible gate between Logrvast and Gelvast. Today, these are collectively known as the "Gates of Vast."
