Snow Rock Isles

The Snow Rock Isles (also called White Rock Isles by the more informed) were the original human lands. Unlike its namesake's implications, the islands are not covered in snow. Rather, they are covered in a problematic blinding-white sand. The isles served as a good cradle for humanity's preparation to spread upon the mainland but were very limited in the power they could attain, especially after their estranged empire gained a foothold over Trinen.

Leadership

Initially, humanity survived under the didactic rule of a wandering Haseti: a nomadic crew of pillagers that collected tithes from small family units along the coasts or rivers. Haseti's brought no law or order upon the land and offered little in the way of protection to those who tithed, eventually causing the system to collapse and give rise to more effective systems of management; the lawful reign of Warren III saw a centralized government longhouse built in Steirvem while the growing haseti functioned as tax collectors and law enforcement. Eventually, this system was considered insufficient as well and leadership would have to be decentralized across the isles.   in the year 185 MN, the military leadership would be replaced by a spiritual organization named "the Islands Five." It was Kanel Logratte and the Islands Five who established religious and taxation facilities across the islands while also setting firm supply lines for each large family in the region. The new organization had also been hard at work creating a concrete scripture for their people to follow: a first for humanity. Rules of spiritual law were now as clear as mortal law, and honor had now been tied to obedience and public safety. While the Islands Five would change hands many times (as well as core religious beliefs), they were considered a window into the past for centuries, even surviving to tell tales of battling alongside dragons such as Vestergil.   In recent history, the Islands Five finally collapsed, giving way to a new radical organization called the Bowhead Haseti. Hoping to return the isles to their traditional roots, the isles have reverted to militarism as well as Paleo Bailumism (while leaving little room for other religious factions). The Baron makes a point to travel across the isles on the regular to ensure each substantial family is tithing and subservient. Trade has been limited to certain factions or companies within Shellbay and incoming ships are treated with high suspicion. New docking checkpoints have ensured that outsiders are forced through chokeholds and unable to perform evasive maneuvers when traversing their waters.
