Neverwinter Temple of Silvanus
The large wooden doors of the temple open into a fairly small antechamber. The walls of the temple are made from glimmering white marble blocks, and the floor is made of interlocking hexagonal tiles of brown slate. In the far wall is a polished marble statue of Silvanus, a slender and graceful elf - with a gentle smile on her face and her hands held outward in welcome. Above her head, an inscription is etched into the arch above the alcove: "Bring me your sick and your injured. All are welcome here". In front of her, a brass offering bowl stands on a small pedestal. Those seeking a blessing will often leave a sprig of holly in this bowl as an offering to the nature goddess. On either side of the statue two dark stained oak doors lead into the main chamber.
The main hall of the temple is devoted to healing the sick and the injured. The hall is around 45ft wide by 120ft long and 30ft high, with large arches curving up into the rafters every 15ft, breaking the hall up into smaller sections. Beds are arranged in four rows along the length of the room. In each section of the room there are six beds, two beds are positioned against each of the walls, in the corner of the arches; while a further two beds are staggered between, roughly ten feet closer to the centre of the room. A central channel 30ft wide runs down the centre of the hallway.
