The Forge of Spells

The Forge of Spells is a powerful magical device crafted inside the Mine of Phandelver . It serves to harness and direct the raw magical energy source in the cave, allowing it to be manipulated by the Phandelvers Mages to imbue artifacts with powerful magics.
The Forge is an immense construction of bronze and crystal. At the base is a huge bronze pool, filled with a viscous liquid crystal material which acts as a medium for the mystical energies. Twin staircases spiral up from the side of the pool to a platform running across the top of the forge. Behind the platform, a carved bronze plate is set into the structure, in the centre of which is a hemispherical bowl supports a huge crystal sphere which serves as a magical focus for the forge.
Beneath the crystal sphere is a vertical channel in the structure, which leads down to the opening of the original fissure the dwarven miners discovered.
